Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is the world’s largest computing society founded in 1947 by Richard Hamming, bringing together more than 100.000 computing educators, researchers and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field’s challenges. It is being represented by 180 professional chapters, 500 student chapters in universities and colleges around the globe, and in 11 student chapters in universities in Turkey.
ITU ACM Student Chapter is the first and only student club founded under Faculty of Computer and Informatics Engineering with the great support of our advisor Associate Professor Berk Canberk. Our mission is to unite the students who are interested in computer science and its fields. Our strategy is to form project and competition teams under special interest topics with the support of the academics for the growth of students’ technical skills together with social skills such as collaboration, communication and responsibility.
